A Jewish support group for parents of children with Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder and associated disabilities such as Autistic Spectrum disorders, Conduct disorders, Dyspraxia & Dyslexia.

The group, JADDS (Jewish Autistic & Deficit Disorders Support) has been set up by parents for parents. “There are support groups in the North West, and national ones, but there is nothing that specifically meets the needs of Jewish parents.  Jewish children have needs that may not be catered for by mainstream groups – for example, connected with Jewish schools, accessing culturally appropriate resources, coping with Jewish Studies, attendance at Synagogue/Shul or coping on Jewish holidays and holy days.”

stamp out the stigma

There is a child with emotions and feelings behind the mask of the strange behaviour. Accept them as they are, and help them claim their rightful place in the community.

To quote Adele Ross, chairperson of JADDS, “ All we ask is that you take part in some way and show solidarity to help us help our kids. Please let us stand together, let's make a better tomorrow for our children and let's stamp out the stigma.”

JADDS is a registered charity (no. 1144158) and relies on donations.
